NAB 2011, Las Vegas 11-14 April, Booth N3719-1: Eyeheight has announced its acceptance as an Avid-approved AVX™ developer and will soon introduce the advantages of its "complianceSuite" set of filter and generator plug-ins to run on Avid® Media Composer®.

The new suite, destined to be named complianceSuiteMC, will enable users to generate true file-based work-flows from concept to playout by verifying and conforming footage prior to submission to any file-based quality-assurance system.

According to Eyeheight Research and Development Director Simon Pegg, "complianceSuiteMC will include powerful tools that guarantee legalization and graphics compliance. The tools enable post production staff to guarantee that programmes and interstitials are fully compliant. The comfortable and familiar interface will provide extremely precise measurements and controls and, therefore, peace of mind."

Included in the suite will be legalEyesMC, a precision, fully vectorized floating-point video legalizer plug-in optimised for use with high end video source files. legalEyesMC control will enable users to choose from extensive built-in presets, or work in custom mode with full access to 15 customization parameters. Facilities administrators can configure which presets are available, create new presets, and even disable the custom option to ensure that only approved configurations are available.

safeEyesMC will be designed as a safe-area generator plug-in that provides an extensive range of broadcast safe-area markers covering all the requirements for SD, HD and 2K including 16:9 and 14:9 requirements in SD. safeEyesMC will also include an integral measurement tool that provides a simple and reliable way to check text height for regulatory compliance, with the measured area clearly indicated with user-selectable color and opacity.

Also included in the suite will be KARMAudioAS, a truly one-click application that can perform offline scaling of an entire program file to match audio loudness to a target LKFS level. KARMAudioAS users will be able to ensure loudness and peak-program level compliance in seconds, and in combination with complianceSuiteMC deliver fully compliant video and audio content direct to tape or playout server.
