playout module family

The playout family provides a flexible suite of modules with the common theme of mixing, keying, logo and channel branding. Each module fits into the FB-9E etherbox chassis which can accomodate up to six modules.

These modules naturally lend themselves to channel playout situations but their flexable configuration also makes them ideal for other applications. The modules can be operated in one of three different modes (playout, vista and geNETics). Each mode is optimized for a different style of operation as described below (click on any of the example system diagrams below for more information).

The playout mode is optimized for automated multi-channel playout applications. A minimum single channel playout systems consists of an A/B mixer with additional keyer, logo and ticker modules added as desired to increase functionality. playout systems support multi-channel capable manual intervention panels.

The vista mode is suited to the provision of low cost stand-alone functions like A/B mixing or keying and can comfortably provide add-on functionality to existing 3rd part solutions. vista solutions come with a small foot-print T-bar control panel.

In geNETics mode the modules provide the same functionality as playout and vista modules but support adhoc operation either via a standard FP-9 flexiPanel setup panel, GPIs or simple serial protocol direct to the card or chassis.
