playout

A basic playout channel must include an MW series A/B mixer module. From this point the user is free to add on any optional modules that are required, external keyers, voice-over, logo, text are all possible. The playout system configuration allows the user to individually taylor each channel to the needs of that channel whilst still using a common automation protocol and a common manual intervention panel.

In playout mode the modules are operated in a "channel orientated" enviroment. This suits on-air playout situations where the modules are all part of a television channel. In this mode eyeheight's presTX automation protocol enables automation vendors to operate the system like an integrated master control mixer rather than as individual modules. presTX protocol is now supported by most major automation vendors including:-

Control panels are available for manual intervention to a channel. A single manual intervention panel can be shared by up to eight playout channels and can associate with any channel as required. Manula intervention panels can be used for emergency intervention or live events. playout manual intervention panels are modular allowing the user to taylor the panel to the needs of the channel.

Two versions of playout are currently available playoutCompact and playoutHD. playoutCompact is an SD only version and supports the AM and SQ modules which are not part of playoutHD. playoutHD are multi-rate products supporting both SD and HD. Each module fits into the FB-9E etherBox chassis which can accomodate up to six modules. Multiple FB-9E etherBox chassis can be combined in a single channel to support additinal modules.

MW-2ES - SD-SDI video and audio A/B mixer module

An A/B mixer capable of mix, wipe and cut transitions as well as "U" and "V" fades. The card also has a Preview output.

MW-2S - SD-SDI video A/B mixer module

A two input mix/wipe processor on a single processor card. It is ideal for use in outside broadcast/mobile production vehicles.

DK-2S - SD-SDI video keyer module

A linear downstream keyer unit which has background, key and fill inputs and supports normal keying, additive (pre-multiplied) keying, self-key and self-coloured keying.

AM-2 - SD-SDI AES audio voice over inserter module

An AES audio mixer / embedder designed specifically for voice-over insertion. The unit will automatically dip the program level when a voice-over channel is activated.

LI-1S - SD-SDI dual channel logo inserter module

LI-2S - SD-SDI dual channel, dual layer logo inserter module with animation

CW-2S - SD-SDI channel branding module

SQ-2 - SD-SDI 2D simple squeezeback module

A cost-effective 2D squeezBack for picture-in-picture and squeeze-back type applications.

VX-5 - SD-SDI video input expansion module for playout

Provides an 8 input x 4 output SDI router for the eyeheight playout system.

AVX-5P - AES Audio and SD-SDI video input expansion module for VX-5

EM-4P - AES-2 embedder / de-embedder module for playout
